Job summary

The Oldham Academy North is seeking a caring and reliable Midday Supervisor to help create a safe, positive and enjoyable environment for students. You will support pupil wellbeing, behaviour and happiness throughout the school day, working as part of a friendly safeguarding-conscious team.

In this role you will supervise lunchtime activities, promote inclusive interactions and report any concerns promptly, contributing to a calm campus where pupils feel valued and respected.

Qualifications

• GCSE Maths & English
• Safeguarding awareness, with training or willingness to undertake training
• Strong ability to maintain positive behaviour, supervise pupils effectively and promote high standards at all times
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with pupils, parents and colleagues
• Ability to work calmly in sensitive situations, both independently and as part of a team

Responsibilities

• Supervise students during lunchtime, ensuring their safety, welfare and positive behaviour at all times
• Promote a calm, inclusive and enjoyable environment in dining and outdoor areas, encouraging respectful interactions between students
• Monitor and manage student behaviour in line with academy policies, addressing issues promptly and appropriately
• Support students with their wellbeing needs and report any concerns relating to safeguarding, health and safety, or student welfare
• Assist in maintaining a safe, clean and orderly environment during the lunch period, working collaboratively with colleagues to ensure effective supervision
