Job summary

Chantry Academy in Ipswich is seeking a Midday Supervisor to help create a safe, inclusive, and purposeful lunch environment. You will support positive behaviour, promote pupil wellbeing, and respond calmly to day-to-day lunchtime incidents, working closely with colleagues.

The role focuses on supervising pupils during lunch and breaks, monitoring welfare, and assisting with practical lunchtime needs while maintaining a safe, orderly setting for all.

Responsibilities

• Supervise pupils during lunch and break times, promoting positive behaviour and a safe environment.
• Monitor pupils' welfare and safeguarding, responding to incidents as needed.
• Support pupils with lunchtime needs and help resolve minor disputes.
• Oversee playground and dining areas, including setting up and clearing equipment.
• Communicate effectively with pupils and staff and report incidents promptly.
