Job summary

Fennies is seeking a Lunchtime Teaching Assistant to support children during lunchtime, helping create a calm and enjoyable day. Part-time hours from 11:15 am to 2:30 pm, Monday to Friday, with a potential performance-related bonus.

You will assist during meals, supervise children, and support wellbeing while maintaining safeguarding and hygiene standards. Training is provided, and collaboration with a friendly team is essential.

Qualifications

  • This role welcomes applicants with no previous nursery experience; training is provided.
  • Candidates should be caring, reliable and enjoy working with children as part of a team.
  • Friendly, patient and supportive attitude is important.
  • Basic understanding of child development or early years is desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Support children during lunchtime routines, encouraging independence and good eating habits.
  • Help create a calm and nurturing environment during lunch and transition times.
  • Assist with supervising children indoors and outdoors.
  • Support children’s wellbeing, comfort and emotional needs.
  • Work closely with the team to maintain routines and high safeguarding standards.

About the Role

As a Lunchtime Teaching Assistant, you'll support children during lunchtime routines, helping to create a positive, calm and enjoyable experience.

You will:
