Job summary

Selwood Academy in Frome is seeking a Lunchtime Supervisory Assistant to support pupils during lunch and help set up/clear away the dining area. The role is permanent and term-time, with a 1 hour 10 minute shift each day, Monday to Friday.

Experience in a school is helpful but full training will be provided. The position suits someone committed to pupil safety and well-being during lunch periods.

Qualifications

• Previous experience of working in a school would be helpful but full training will be given.

Responsibilities

• To assist in setting up and clearing away the dining area daily, assembling tables, putting out chairs and sweeping floors.
• Direct supervision of pupils during the lunch break
• To ensure pupils are well behaved in the school, in adverse weather conditions
• Where pupil conflicts arise deal with in the appropriate manner, being aware of bullying behaviour
• Understand the appropriate laid down course of action in cases of personal injury to pupils
• First Aid as required
• To attend a termly meeting with the line manager
• To be willing to work extra time for events such as the Christmas meal
