Job summary

Leamington Primary and Nursery Academy seeks a caring Midday Supervisor to ensure the safety and wellbeing of pupils during lunch. You will supervise in the dining hall and playground, support lunchtime routines, and model inclusive behaviour.

The role offers a supportive team, ongoing training, and opportunities to contribute to a positive lunchtime experience, with flexible working arrangements and a valued place in the Flying High Partnership.

Qualifications

• We are seeking a caring, reliable, and enthusiastic Midday Supervisor to join our team.
• You will supervise pupils in the dining hall and playground, promoting positive behaviour and ensuring lunchtime is safe, enjoyable and well-organised.
• As a key role model, you will help create a calm and respectful environment where all children feel supported, included, and valued.

Responsibilities

• Supervise pupils in dining hall and outdoor play areas to ensure safety and wellbeing
• Support the smooth running of lunchtime routines, including queues and seating
• Promote positive behaviour and respectful interactions among pupils
• Help maintain a clean and safe dining environment, including clearing spills and tidying tables
• Support children in developing independence and social skills during lunchtime
• Respond to minor first aid needs and report concerns to staff
• Supervise children indoors during wet weather as required
• Follow safeguarding, health and safety and school policies at all times
• Work flexibly as part of the wider school team
• Promote and maintain good behaviour in a calm and consistent way
• Demonstrate enthusiasm and integrity as a professional role model
