Job summary

The Spire Trust is seeking a friendly Lunchtime Supervisor for Catshill Middle School. The role involves supervising students during lunchtime, supporting dining hall operations, and helping with playtime to ensure safety and wellbeing. A DBS check and references are required as part of safeguarding commitments.

Hours are 5 hours 25 minutes per week, Monday to Friday during term time. The position is paid on the Scale 2 rate (£13.28–£13.48 per hour) and offers a supportive team environment with

Qualifications

• Warm, friendly approach and a passion for working with children.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proactive attitude with calm, efficient situation management.
• Experience in a school or childcare setting is desirable but not essential.
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and support students during lunchtime, ensuring safety and wellbeing.
• Assist with smooth operation of dining hall, promoting healthy eating and good manners.
• Help manage outdoor playtime, ensuring safe and fun activities.
• Provide a caring and supportive presence, addressing conflicts or concerns.
• Work with staff to maintain a positive school environment.
