Job summary

The David Ross Education Trust is seeking a Midday Assistant for 10 hours per week during 39 weeks per year. You will supervise pupils in the dining hall during lunchtime, help with setup and tidying, and support safety and welfare under the operations manager/head-teacher.

Role requires safeguarding awareness, clear communication, and the ability to work as part of a team both independently and with staff.

Qualifications

• Experience of undertaking general cleaning duties.
• Clear understanding of safeguarding and confidentiality.
• Ability to communicate clearly with children and adults.

Responsibilities

• Supervise pupils during the midday break and support welfare and safety.
• Organise entry of pupils into the dining area/hall.
• Set up and clear away tables and benches for lunchtime.
• Monitor behaviour and refer incidents per policy.
• Record and respond to first aid incidents and health concerns.
