Job summary

St Mary's Catholic Primary School in Studley is seeking a dedicated Midday Supervisor to join the St Raphael the Archangel CMAT. This part-time role runs 6.25 hours per week during term time (38 weeks per year) and involves supervising lunch, assisting with meals, and ensuring pupil safety and well-being.

The successful candidate will prepare dining areas, supervise activities, and support pupils during lunchtime, with opportunities to contribute to a positive school environment.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Prepare the dining area for lunch, including setting out chairs and tables.
• Supervise toileting and washroom activities.
• Escort children to and from the dining room.
• Supervise the collection of meals and assist pupils with the use of cutlery.
• Assist pupils with returning used plates, trays, cutlery, and glasses/beakers, as well as clearing tables.
• Supervise pupils eating packed lunches and ensure all equipment is cleared away.
• Oversee classroom and outdoor activities, encouraging inclusion and positive interaction.
• Ensure an orderly return to the classroom after lunch.
• Attend to minor accidents or pupils who feel unwell, providing care as needed.
• Report to the Senior Midday Supervisor (SMDS) if an accident occurs or a pupil becomes ill.
• Monitor pupil behaviour and intervene as necessary, in line with the school’s behaviour policy.
• Inform the SMDS of any breaches of school rules.
