Job summary

Northern Education Trust invites applications for a Lunchtime Supervisor at Dyke House Academy, Hartlepool. You will oversee pupils during lunch, ensuring a safe and structured environment under the Principal’s guidance.

Responsibilities include supervising pupils, supporting behaviour, and safeguarding; a full DBS check is required. The post supports learning across 38 weeks plus 2 paid days, with part-time hours.

Qualifications

• Ability to work under the direction of teaching staff and liaise professionally with colleagues.

• As this role involves working with children, an enhanced DBS check is required.

Responsibilities

• Supervision & Support: Escort pupils to and from the dining area, assist at the serving counter, keep tables and packed-lunch areas clean.
• Behaviour & Welfare: Maintain suitable behaviour standards and help pupils develop social skills.
• Health & Safety: Attend to minor accidents or illness, follow safety rules and GDPR guidelines.
• Safeguarding: Follow safeguarding policies and report concerns to the safeguarding lead/Principal.
