Job summary

Knowleswood Primary School in Bradford is seeking enthusiastic Lunchtime Supervisors to ensure the safety and enjoyment of pupils during the school lunch period, in the dining hall and on the playground. You will help model good manners, support social interaction and promote inclusive play.

The role requires experience with children, safeguarding awareness, and the ability to reinforce school expectations while maintaining calm, friendly supervision.

Qualifications

• Have experience working with children in a similar role
• Understand safeguarding, inclusion and wellbeing in a school setting
• Enthusiastic and committed to supporting pupils during lunchtimes

Responsibilities

• Supervise pupils in the dining hall, encouraging positive behaviour, manners and a calm atmosphere
• Monitor and support pupils on the playground and in other indoor or outdoor areas during lunchtime
• Encourage positive play, helping children to join in games, resolve minor conflicts and build friendships
• Support the smooth running of lunchtimes by setting up or clearing away equipment as needed
• Model and reinforce the school's behaviour expectations and safeguarding policies at all times
• Have experience working with children in a similar role
• Understand the importance of safeguarding, inclusion and wellbeing in a school setting
