Job summary

Greenhill Primary School is seeking a Midday Supervisory Assistant to help ensure the safety and wellbeing of pupils during lunchtime breaks, working as part of the school team with a calm and positive approach.

The role includes supervising lunch, helping with meals, supervising play, supporting classes in poor weather, and engaging pupils in activities while promoting safe and respectful behaviour.

Qualifications

• Ability to supervise and manage lunchtime behaviour.
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting welfare of children.
• Calm, positive manner when working with children.
• Good communication and teamwork with colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Supervise children during lunch breaks.
• Assist children with meals (dinner or packed lunches).
• Supervise play on the playground and in classrooms during inclement weather.
• Play games and activities with children to promote engagement.
• Handle minor accidents and administer basic First Aid.
