Job summary

Walton Holymoorside is seeking a caring Midday Supervisor to supervise pupils in dining hall and grounds, ensuring safety and engagement during lunch break. You will promote positive behaviour, support pupils with table manners, and encourage inclusive play while working with colleagues to create a calm, welcoming lunchtime experience.

Experience with children is welcome but not essential; the role offers a supportive school community and opportunities to contribute to safeguarding and pupil

Qualifications

• Experience of working with children.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Ability to work in a busy school environment.

Responsibilities

• Supervise pupils during lunchtime, indoors and outdoors.
• Ensure the safety and welfare of all children at all times.
• Encourage positive behaviour in line with the school's behaviour policy.
• Support children in the dining hall and promote good table manners.
• Organise and encourage safe, inclusive play activities.
• Respond to minor accidents and report concerns.
• Work effectively as part of the school team to provide a positive lunchtime experience.
