Job summary

Somercotes Infant School is looking for a caring, reliable Midday Supervisor to help create a safe, happy lunchtime experience for our pupils. You will supervise pupils in the dining hall, playground, and designated areas while promoting positive behaviour and inclusive play.

Experience is welcome but not essential. The role offers training, a supportive team, and a real difference in daily school life for the children.

Qualifications

• Experience of working with children
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently with initiative and minimal supervision
• Willingness to learn and work as part of a team
• Commitment to safeguarding children

Responsibilities

• Supervise pupils during lunchtime, indoors and outdoors
• Ensure safety and welfare of all children at lunchtime
• Promote positive behaviour in line with school policy
• Support dining hall routines and encourage good table manners
• Organise safe, inclusive play activities
• Respond to minor accidents and report concerns
• Work as part of the school team to provide a positive lunchtime experience
