Job summary

Rowley View Nursery School is seeking a dedicated Lunchtime Supervisor to join our friendly team. You will assist in caring for pupils indoors and outdoors during lunchtime, ensuring safety and encouraging learning opportunities at this key daily moment.

You'll work 6.25 hours each week during term time, with paediatric first aid and Level 2 food hygiene training available. The role is a fixed-term contract until July 2027, with a start date in January 2027.

Qualifications

• Experience supervising children during lunchtimes.
• First aid and food hygiene training may be required; training available.
• Willingness to undergo safeguarding checks and DBS clearance.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the children during the mid-day break, including when they are waiting to go for lunch and whilst eating lunch.
• Support and assist the children during eating their lunch; Safer Eating training will be available.
• Prepare and clean the dining area.
• Follow agreed procedures for dealing with and reporting incidents during the mid-day break.

11.15am – 12.30pm Monday – Friday

Start Date: January 2027

We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and committed professional to join our friendly team.

You will be working alongside the nursery staff to assist in the care and supervision of pupils in both indoor and outdoor situations during lunchtime break.

Our Lunchtime Supervisor will help to ensure that children are safe and happy during the lunchtime period and make the most of the opportunities for learning at this important point in the day.

Like all of our staff, applicants need to be reliable and adaptable, with a positive approach to this key role.

Paediatric First Aid and L2 Food Hygiene will be made available.

Specific duties and responsibilities will include:

• Supervising the children during the mid-day break, including when they are waiting to go for lunch and whilst eating lunch

• Supporting and assisting the children during eating their lunch. Safer Eating training will be available.
• Responsible for preparing and cleaning the dining area.
• Following agreed procedures for dealing with and reporting incidents during the mid-day break
