Job summary

West Ashtead Primary Academy is looking for a midday supervisor to join our school team. The role runs Monday to Friday, 11:45–13:15 during term time, with a fixed-term contract until the end of the academic year.

The successful candidate will promote positive play, supervise lunchtime activities, and help ensure a safe school environment. The role requires a caring, proactive approach and effective communication to work with staff and pupils within a busy school setting.

Qualifications

• A passion for supporting children and ensuring their safety and wellbeing during lunchtime.
• The ability to promote good behaviour and encourage interactive, positive play whilst supervising the dining hall and playground.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a wider school team.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the dining hall and playground during lunchtimes.
• Promote safe, positive play and monitor children's behaviour to support a calm lunchtime environment.
