Job summary

Pirehill Primary School is seeking an enthusiastic Lunchtime Supervisory Assistant to supervise pupils during lunch breaks and ensure a safe, inclusive environment. You will interact with pupils, support play, help with manners, and assist with dining room routines.

Hours are 11.45am to 1.15pm, Monday to Friday, term-time only. Successful candidates will join a caring staff team committed to safeguarding and pupil wellbeing.

Responsibilities

• One to one supervision with selected pupils to aid social integration.
• Supervision before, during and after the meal, including depositing leftover food.
• Assist children with table manners and use of cutlery.
• Set up and clear away dining room equipment such as chairs and tables.
• Organise games and activities.
• Supervision of children on playgrounds, including outdoor equipment.
• Administering first aid.

Job description

We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and dedicated Lunchtime Supervisory Assistant to work as part of our team supervising pupils during the lunch break, ensuring a safe environment in which their developmental and welfare needs are met. You need to be physically fit and be able to interact with all pupils in the school, encouraging play and inclusion.

Do you have:

• Experience of working with children?
• The ability to work as part of a team, building relationships with children and staff?
• A caring nature, able to support the emotional wellbeing of children?

Supervision of Pupils:

• One to one supervision with chosen pupils to aid their social integration
• Supervision of children before, during and after the meal, including the supervising or assisting with the deposit of leftover food from plates and receptacles provided
• Assist children with their table manners and use of cutlery
• Setting up and clearing away dining room equipment such as chairs and tables
• Organise games and activities
• Supervision of children on the playgrounds, including the use of outdoor equipment
• Administering first aid
