Job summary

Moldgreen Community Primary School in Huddersfield is seeking a Lunchtime Supervisor to join our team for term-time duties. The role covers school lunch periods, with 1 permanent and 2 casual positions available, and starts as soon as possible after 04 November 2026.

Salary is Grade 3 (£4,413.22 plus MRS for casual roles) for term-time hours. You will supervise pupils, promote good behaviour, support social interactions, and ensure safety during lunch.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children or in a school setting is desirable.
• Able to work as part of a team in a busy school environment.
• Willingness to engage with safeguarding and pupil welfare policies.

Responsibilities

• Supervising pupils in the dining hall and on the playground.
• Encouraging positive behaviour and promoting good manners.
• Supporting children with their social interactions and play.
• Helping to ensure the safety and wellbeing of pupils during lunch breaks.
• Responding to minor accidents and incidents appropriately.
• Working closely with teaching and support staff to maintain a positive school environment.
