Job summary

South Tyneside Council invites applications for a Supervisory Assistant at Mortimer Primary School. This fixed-term, term-time role is 7.5 hours per week, providing lunchtime supervision in the dining hall and outdoors, supporting pupils and the team.

Qualifications

• Enthusiastic and motivated lunchtime Supervisory Assistant with a positive attitude and enjoys working with children.
• Supervises pupils at lunchtime in the dining hall and outdoors, supporting a widening outdoor space.
• Good communication, initiative, responsibility, and ability to work in a team; willing to undertake further training.
• Confidence to step up into First Aid (with training) would be welcomed.
• Applications must be completed in full against the person specification and include details of work with children with suitable references.

Responsibilities

• Supervise pupils through lunchtime breaks in the dining hall and outdoors.
• Work as part of the school team and contribute to safeguarding and welfare of pupils.
• Participate in training as required.
