Job summary

Stoneydelph Primary School in Tamworth is seeking a Lunchtime Supervisor to join the OPAL play team. The role supports safe and happy lunchtimes, supervising indoors and outdoors and promoting positive play opportunities for pupils aged 4-11.

The successful candidate will be kind, reliable, and able to engage children during lunch, with a focus on safe, structured activities and good dining hall manners. Term-time, part-time hours apply.

Responsibilities

• To supervise, care for, and play with the children both indoors and outdoors during lunchtimes.
• Promote good behaviour and polite table manners in the dining hall and around school.
• Assist children in the dining hall and tidy all areas during and following lunch.
• Contribute to the planning and organisation of the Lunchtime activities
• Work with children aged 4-11 playing fun activities and games and all organising necessary any equipment.
• Assist school in establishing an exciting, purposeful and safe lunchtime environment, which enables children to feel secure and happy.
• Build positive relationships with the pupils by being friendly and approachable, and prioritise their well-being and welfare during lunchtimes
• Encourage excellent lunchtime behaviour and address any incidents by following the Behaviour and Relationships policy
• Work co-operatively alongside other members of the lunchtime team and wider school staff.
• Encourage and provide positive play opportunities for pupils (OPAL)

Job description

Stoneydelph Primary School, Governors at Stoneydelph Primary School are looking for an enthusiastic and passionate Lunchtime Supervisor/OPAL play team member to join our friendly and talented team.

Hours: 5 Hours per week, term time only, permanent contract – Monday – Friday 12pm – 1pm.

Salary: Grade 2 Point 2-3 (FTE £24,413 - £24,796 per annum) = (Pro Rata salary £2,863 to £2,908 per annum)
