Job summary

Sunnyside Spencer Academy in Beeston, Nottingham is seeking a passionate Midday Supervisor to join our lunchtime team. You’ll help supervise pupils in the dining hall, encourage friendly play and ensure a calm, safe and caring environment during lunchtime.

We value a positive, proactive approach, good communication, and teamwork as you support pupils’ wellbeing and behaviour at break times. Early application encouraged.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children is preferred.
• Willingness to uphold safeguarding and school policies.
• Reliable and punctual.
• Able to follow instructions and work as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils in the dining hall with routines and table manners.
• Encourage imaginative play and positive social interactions on the playground.
• Promote pupil wellbeing by being a warm, approachable and consistent adult.
• Help maintain safety and good behaviour through calm, confident supervision.
• Work collaboratively with the wider school team to ensure lunchtimes run smoothly.
• Celebrate the small moments — achievements, kindness and budding friendships.
