Job summary

Townville Academy seeks a supportive supervisor to oversee pupils indoors and outdoors during lunchtime, ensuring safety across playgrounds, fields, cloakrooms and classrooms. You will assist with tidying after meals and respond to minor incidents with appropriate reporting.

The role includes helping implement behaviour strategies and resolving minor disputes. Observing pupil behaviour, reporting changes to staff, and assisting with other midday activities are also part of the position.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the playground area, playing fields, cloakrooms and classrooms during lunchtime
• Assist with the removal of food and equipment after pupils have eaten
• Deal with minor first aid incidents and follow procedures for recording and reporting
• Assist in implementing appropriate behaviour management strategies
• Observe a child or young person’s behaviour, note changes and report to staff
• Resolve minor disputes between pupils
• Assist in supervising other activities during midday break and setting out/storing equipment

Job description

Required to work indoors and outdoors when supervising the children and young people to ensure their safety.:

Supervise the playground area, playing fields, cloakrooms and classrooms etc. during the lunchtime break.

AsAssist with the removal of food and equipment once pupils have eaten their lunch.

D Deal with minor first aid incidents; follow appropriate procedures for recording and reporting.

As Assist in the implementation of appropriate behaviour management strategies as required.

OObserve a child or young person’s behaviour, understand its context, and notice any unexpected changes and report any inappropriate behaviour to the correct member of staff.

RResolve minor disputes between pupils.
