Leighswood School is seeking to appoint 2 enthusiastic, dedicated and reliable Lunchtime Supervisors to join our supportive and welcoming team. This role supports pupils aged 2 to 11 during lunchtime, helping create a safe, positive and enjoyable environment.

The 11.75-hour per week post runs over 5 days – 11:30 am–1:45 pm, with a fortnightly staff meeting, and offers a real opportunity to contribute to pupil welfare and lunchtime arrangements.

Responsibilities

  • Supervising students during lunchtime in dining, playground and social areas.
  • Ensuring students are safe and well cared for during lunchtime.
  • Promoting positive behaviour and supporting students to follow school expectations.
  • Building positive and respectful relationships with students.
  • Responding to student needs, concerns or incidents and reporting to relevant staff.
  • Collaborating with colleagues to ensure smooth lunchtime operations.
  • Contributing to a welcoming, inclusive environment for all students.

Lunchtime Supervisor
Permanent - Part Time 11.75 hours per week
Grade 1 SCP3 - £6,816 (actual salary)

Leighswood School is seeking to appoint 2 enthusiastic, dedicated and reliable Lunchtime Supervisors to join our supportive and welcoming team. We are a caring school catering for pupils between the ages of 2 and 11. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working with young people and is committed to helping create a safe, positive and enjoyable lunchtime environment.

The role is 11.75 hours per week over 5 days – 11:30 am to 1:45pm with a fortnightly staff meeting from 11:00am to 11:30am.

Key Responsibilities-
  • supervising students during lunchtime, including in designated dining, playground and social areas
  • ensuring students are safe and well cared for throughout the lunchtime period
  • promoting positive behaviour and supporting students to follow the school’s expectations
  • building positive and respectful relationships with students
  • responding appropriately to student needs, concerns or incidents and reporting these to relevant staff where necessary
  • working collaboratively with colleagues to ensure the smooth and effective running of lunchtime arrangements
  • contributing to a welcoming, inclusive and positive environment for all students
