Job summary

Park Mead Primary School is inviting applications for a Lunchtime Supervisor to join the friendly lunchtime team. The role runs Monday to Friday, 12.00pm to 1.15pm, 6.25 hours per week, permanent, term-time only.

Salary on Surrey Pay Scale PS3 is £25,133 FTE; actual salary is approximately £3,657 per annum. You will supervise pupils in the dining hall and playground, lead activities, and support positive behaviour during lunch.

• Experience working with children in a primary school or similar setting is beneficial.

We are looking to appoint a friendly, enthusiastic and proactive Lunchtime Supervisor to join our dedicated lunchtime team at Park Mead Primary School.

The role is Monday to Friday, 12.00pm to 1.15pm (6.25 hours per week) on a permanent, term-time only basis. We would consider applications for 3 to 5 days per week, although availability on Mondays and Fridays is essential. Salary: Surrey Pay Scale PS3 (£25,133 Full Time Equivalent) Actual Salary: Approximately £3,657 per annum

The Role

This role focuses on supporting children to engage in positive, purposeful play during lunchtime. Working with pupils across the school, including vulnerable pupils and those with SEND, you will help create an enjoyable and inclusive lunchtime experience by:

• Organising and leading games and activities
• Encouraging children to participate in play and social opportunities
• Supporting positive behaviour and friendships
• Supervising pupils in the dining hall and playground
• Assisting with lunchtime routines and clearing away after lunch

Lunchtime Supervisors may work with either Upper or Lower School pupils and should be active, positive and motivated individuals who enjoy working with children.

About You

Previous experience working with children in a primary school or similar setting would be beneficial, although full training will be provided. We would also welcome applications from candidates who have supported schools in a voluntary capacity, either at Park Mead Primary School or another educational setting.
