Job summary

Brookvale Primary School is seeking a Lunchtime Supervisor to join a friendly team for 6.25 hours per week. You will supervise children at lunchtime, promoting safety, wellbeing and positive social interaction.

The role requires patience, reliability and the ability to work well with others. Full training will be provided, and you will contribute to a supportive school environment.

Job description

Brookvale Primary School is looking to appoint a Lunchtime Supervisor to join our friendly and supportive team to work 6.25 hours per week. As a Lunchtime Supervisor, you will play an important role in ensuring that our children have a safe, happy and enjoyable lunchtime. You will help to create a positive environment where children can eat, play and socialise, while supporting their wellbeing and encouraging positive behaviour.

About the role

You will:

1. Supervise children during lunchtime, both in the dining area and on the playground.
2. Help to ensure the safety and wellbeing of all children.
3. Encourage positive behaviour and support children to resolve minor disagreements appropriately.
4. Build positive and respectful relationships with children.
5. Support children to develop positive social skills and enjoy their lunchtime.
6. Follow the school's safeguarding, health and safety and behaviour procedures.
7. Work as part of a supportive team and communicate effectively with colleagues.

8. Previous experience of working with children would be desirable, but full training and support will be provided for the right candidate.
