Job summary

Meynell Nursery & Primary School in Sheffield is seeking a lunchtime supervisor to supervise and support pupils at lunchtime, ensuring their safety and access to play and learning activities.

You will assist with cleaning eating areas, encourage pupils to interact, be aware of and support equal access, administer First Aid, and comply with safeguarding policies. The role also involves working with colleagues, attending relevant meetings and training as required.

Responsibilities

• Supervise pupils at lunchtime to ensure safety.
• Assist with cleaning eating areas and clearing tables.
• Encourage pupil interaction and engagement in activities.
• Be aware of and support equal access to opportunities.
• Administer First Aid and follow safeguarding policies.
• Attend meetings and participate in training as required.

Job description

Supervision and support for pupils atlunchtime ensuring their safety and access to play and learning activities

• Assistance with cleaning of alleating areas, clearing trays, plates from tables, wiping spillages as and whenthey occur
• Encourage pupils to interact andengage in activities
• Beaware of and support difference and ensure all pupils have equal access toopportunities to learn and develop
• Administering First Aid
• Be aware of and comply withpolicies and procedures relating to child protection, health, safety andsecurity, confidentiality and data protection, reporting all concerns to anappropriate person
• Contribute to the overallethos/work/aims of the school
• Appreciate and support the role ofother professionals
• Attend and participate in relevantmeetings as required
• Participate in training and otherlearning activities and performance development as required
