Job summary

St Joseph’s Catholic Primary School, Blackhall is seeking a Lunchtime Supervisory Assistant to support pupils during lunchtimes and work under the direction of the SLT. This part-time, term-time role offers a salary on Grade 1, with pro-rata terms and a fixed daily shift of one hour.

You will join a welcoming team, collaborate with staff, parents and governors, and uphold Gospel values while contributing to a safe, caring school environment.

Qualifications

  • Be able to work under the direction of the SLT in school to provide support and guidance to children in the school setting during lunchtimes.
  • Be able to work with professionals in and outside of the school team.
  • Have high expectations for pupils and others; excellent communication skills.
  • Be a positive role model for all of our pupils and uphold our gospel values.

Responsibilities

  • Provide supervision and guidance to children during lunchtimes.
  • Work with school staff and external professionals as needed.
  • Support a welcoming, safe, and respectful lunchtime environment.
  • Contribute to whole-school development and uphold Catholic ethos.

Job description

Salary: Grade 1 Point 3 £3,350.81 (pro-rata to £2,899.76 Term-Time only)

Start Date: ASAP

Contract: 5 hours per week, term time only. Permanent.

Shift pattern: 1 hour per day

This position is paid whole time with retainer adjustments applied to periods of school closure. You will not be required to work during the school closure periods however your salary in these periods will be adjusted accordingly in line with the retainer regulations as specified in the National Joint Council (NJC) Green Book agreement. A job evaluation exercise is currently underway which this post is subject to.
