Job summary

Kingfisher Primary Academy is seeking a dedicated Lunchtime Supervisor to oversee pupils during lunch and playtimes. The role focuses on safety, wellbeing and positive behaviour in dining halls and playgrounds, with responsibilities including first aid if needed and safeguarding adherence.

We offer a supportive team, school-based environment and term-time only hours. The successful candidate will be calm, reliable and capable of promoting a respectful lunchtime atmosphere for all pupils.

Responsibilities

• Supervise pupils in dining areas and playgrounds during lunchtime.
• Ensure pupils move safely and behave appropriately when queuing and dining.
• Assist with food, drinks and minor spillages during mealtimes.
• Set up, clear and maintain a clean dining environment.
• Supervise and encourage safe, positive play and social interaction outdoors.
• Escort pupils as needed to ensure safety and respond to incidents appropriately.

We are now looking to appoint a dedicated Lunchtime Supervisor to join our team and help ensure our pupils enjoy a safe, calm, and positive lunchtime experience.

The Role

The successful candidate will supervise pupils during the lunchtime period, ensuring their safety, wellbeing, and positive behaviour both in the dining hall and playground.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise pupils in dining areas, playgrounds, and other school spaces during lunchtime
• Ensure pupils move safely and behave appropriately when entering, queuing, and dining
• Support pupils during mealtimes, including assisting with food, drinks, and minor spillages
• Set up, clear, and maintain a clean and organised dining environment
• Supervise and encourage safe, positive play and social interaction outdoors
• Patrol school areas and escort pupils where required to ensure safety
• Respond to incidents appropriately, including administering basic first aid if required
• Ensure school safeguarding and security procedures are followed at all times
