Job summary

Begbrook Primary Academy in Bristol is seeking a friendly Lunchtime Supervisor to help create a safe, enjoyable lunch break for pupils and support positive behaviour.

The role is permanent, part-time, term-time only, 7.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday. Start mid-September 2026, with pre-employment checks.

Job description

Job Title: Lunchtime Supervisor

Actual Annual Salary: £4,398 - £4,473 (£13.45 - £13.68 per hour)

Full Time Equivalent Salary: £25,949 - £26,392 (Grade Aii)

Contract Type: Permanent, Part Time, Term time only

Hours: 7.5 hours per week

Additional role info: Monday to Friday. 1.5 hours per day

Provisional Start Date: Mid-September 2026, pending completion of pre-employment checks

About you:

You will have:

  • good relationship-building skills and able to proactively engage with students and other staff members.
  • strong interpersonal skills, in particular demonstrates empathy and active listening.
  • the ability to deal with inappropriate behaviour in a calm and non-judgemental way, following academy guidance.
  • patience, be calm and be able to work under pressure
  • positive values and attitudes in order to be a role model to our students.

About Begbrook Primary Academy:

Begbrook Primary Academy is a three-form entry primary school with a pre-school, situated in Stapleton, on the outskirts of Bristol. Our school population is culturally, socially and economically diverse. We are an inclusive school, and we recognise the many different barriers to learning that can exist.
