Job summary

Lyde Green Primary School in Bristol is seeking a Lunchbreak Supervisor to help create a safe, happy lunchtime environment for pupils. The role involves setting up the dining area, supervising children during meals, and leading play and activities in the playground or indoor spaces.

You will work 1.5 hours per day during the lunch period, 38 term-time weeks per year, at a rate of £12.85 per hour with a permanent contract.

Salary: £12.85 p/h (CSET 13)

Working hours: 7.5 per week

Our Lunchbreak Supervisors play a vital role in creating a safe, happy and well‑organised lunchtime experience for our pupils. Each role involves working 1.5 hours per day during the lunch period.

About the job

We’re looking for a caring and enthusiastic Lunchbreak Supervisor to join our school team and help make lunchtimes a positive part of every child’s day. You’ll work closely with staff and pupils to create a safe, sociable and fun environment. Whether it’s setting up the dining hall, supporting children during meals, or leading play and activities in the playground (or indoors on rainy days). Your presence will bring stability, encouragement and fun to our lunchtime routine.

About Us

Lyde Green Primary is an oversubscribed and unique school, based at Lyde Green near Bristol. Since being built and opened around 10 years ago, the school has grown and changed rapidly, and now is about to enter the next stage of its journey by opening a second site, less than 1km from the existing site. Over time, the school will grow to a capacity of over 800 pupils, split across two outstanding two‑form‑entry facilities. In addition to the provision of 840 mainstream school places, we also have an equally unique 16 place Access Centre for pupils aged 4‑7, with a primary diagnosis of Autistic Spectrum Disorder.
