Job summary

Cuddington Croft Primary School and Nursery is seeking a dedicated Lunchtime Playworker to support children during lunch and playtimes. You will supervise meals and play areas with a friendly but firm approach, helping children to eat and play safely.

The role runs 12:00–13:15, four days a week, 38 weeks per year, and First Aid training can be provided if not already held. Join GLF Schools for a supportive team and opportunities across our cluster of primary schools.

Are you passionate about creating a positive and supportive environment for children? Cuddington Croft Primary School are seeking a dedicated and caring Lunchtime Playworker to join their friendly and committed team.

Your opportunity

This is an exciting opportunity for an individual who is passionate about children and can encourage and initiate games at playtime. The successful candidate will relate in a friendly but firm manner with all children in the playground and during the lunchtime meal period.

What we are looking for

You will ensure children obtain their lunch and supervise the areas for children’s eating and play in breaktimes. Successful candidates will be responsible for supporting children in their play and eating. Candidates will ideally have experience of working with children and feel that they are approachable and can be patient, resilient and flexible with the demands of breaktime and the children’s needs. The working hours will be 12pm - 1:15pm (4 days per week)

An individual with First Aid training would be desirable, as you will be expected to support your team and the children with any first aid needs. However, training can be provided if you do not currently hold this qualification.

Salary: £24,686 FTE

Actual Salary: £2,873.98

Hours: 4 days a week (flexible) 12pm - 1.15pm, 5 hrs per week (38 weeks per year)
