Job summary

Biggleswade Academy is seeking a Midday Supervisor to oversee lunch periods across the Kitelands Road and Mead End sites. You will ensure safety, welfare and orderly conduct for children entering the dining room and during playtimes.

Role involves setting up dining areas, assisting with trays, and supervising children in all weather. Commitment to equality and inclusion is essential and you will work as part of a dedicated team with a permanent contract.

Qualifications

• Experience supervising children during lunchtimes is desirable.
• Commitment to safeguarding procedures.
• Ability to work as part of a team and support play.
• Awareness of equality, diversity and inclusion principles.
• Willingness to work in all weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Set up and clear dining areas, including tables and chairs.
• Supervise children's entry into the dining room.
• Assist children with carrying trays to tables and returning dishes to the counter.
• Supervise children in the playground or other areas and manage incidents per the Behaviour Policy.
• Ensure dining areas are clean and tidy and organise play or games as appropriate.
• Assist children who are unwell.
