Job summary

Caldmore Primary Academy is seeking a lunchtime playworker to supervise, support and engage pupils during lunch, providing a safe, inclusive and stimulating play environment and organising play activities.

The role focuses on promoting positive behaviour, ensuring safety and wellbeing, and working as part of a team; the ideal candidate communicates well with pupils and staff, handles groups calmly, and supports safeguarding and DBS processes.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, support and engage pupils during lunchtime by providing a safe, inclusive and stimulating play environment
• Organise and facilitate play activities, promoting positive behaviour
• Ensure the safety and wellbeing of all children during lunch
• Communicate effectively with pupils and staff and work as part of a team
• Manage behaviour of groups of children and remain calm under pressure
• Knowledge of kitchen health and safety and sensitivity to students' needs
