Pioneer House High School (Prospere Learning Trust) is seeking a Part-time Lunchtime Organiser to support pupils during midday breaks, promoting healthy eating and running lunchtime clubs. The role is 10 hours per week, term-time only, with a starting salary of £6,229 and a full-time equivalent of £26,016.

The successful candidate will supervise dining areas, assist with meals and care needs, report incidents, and work with pupils, parents and staff to create a safe, positive lunchtime

Qualificações

  • Experience supervising school children at lunchtimes.
  • Ability to work respectfully with pupils, staff and parents.
  • Willingness to undertake safeguarding training.

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Lunchtime Organiser SEN to join our fantastic team at Pioneer House High School

This is a Grade 2, permanent post working 10 hours per week, during term time only. The starting salary is £6,229 and the full time equivalent is £26,016. This role is expected to start as soon as all pre-employment checks are complete.

We’re looking for:

We are recruiting for a part time Lunchtime Organiser to work in our special educational needs high school. You will provide high quality support over lunchtime, supporting healthy eating, a range of lunchtime clubs, feeding and changing students as appropriate. The successful applicant must be able to work effectively with the whole school community including pupils, parents, governors and staff.

Main purpose of the job:

You will supervise students in the dining areas and elsewhere as required to provide high quality support over lunchtime, supporting healthy eating, a range of lunchtime clubs, feeding and changing students as appropriate. You will help create an atmosphere so that the meal and lunchtime recreation is a pleasant experience for pupils and staff.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Develop good professional relationships with students and other staff members.
  • Undertake activities with groups of students during lunchtime clubs e.g. football, outdoor play, magazine club, art club, sensory story club.
  • To assist at tables and to support student food choices and development skills.
  • To report serious incidents and accidents to Senior staff.
  • Taking students who have minor accidents or are unwell to seek first aid where necessary, and if first aid is not necessary, comforting and reassuring them.

Pioneer House High School

Pioneer House High School is a special school located in Northern Moor which provides 100 day places for 11 to 19 year old pupils, with a unique focus in preparing pupils with significant additional needs, to become independent and productive adults. The school has a strong vocational emphasis and pupils will have the potential to progress on to supported or independent employment/internships/apprenticeships or college.

The school was opened in 2016 and moved to a new, purpose built, site in 2017 which hosts a range of facilities including a one-bedroom bungalow, poly-tunnel and horticultural area, a purpose built catering and hospitality kitchen and construction area. We have recently expanded our site developing the student run Strawberry Fox Café, and additional learning and social spaces.

Following our first Ofsted inspection in 2019, Pioneer House was graded Outstanding in all areas.
