Job summary

Crowcroft Park Primary School is hiring a Lunchtime Organiser to support pupils and staff during lunch break. The role is part-time and aligned with term-time hours, providing supervision in the dining hall and playground.

The successful candidate will promote good manners, assist with play, and help maintain a safe, well-organised dining environment. DBS checks and references are required.

Qualifications

  • GCSE English and Maths at grade C or above (or equivalent).
  • Ability to supervise pupils and maintain a safe environment during lunch.
  • Commitment to inclusivity and safeguarding in a school setting.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise pupils in the dining hall, playground and other areas during lunch.
  • Encourage good manners, positive play and respectful behaviour aligned with school rules.
  • Support children to develop friendships, cooperation and inclusion through play.
  • Manage minor incidents calmly and report concerns to senior staff.
  • Help ensure the dining environment is clean, safe and well organised.

Start Date: 1st November 2026

Salary: Grade 1 NJC £4,600.49

Essential qualities for the role include:
  • Supervise pupils in the dining hall, playground and other areas during the lunch period.

  • Support children to develop friendships, cooperation and inclusion through play.
  • Manage minor incidents calmly and report any concerns to senior staff.
  • Help ensure the dining environment is clean, safe and well organised.
The candidate should have:
  • A kind, patient and responsible attitude towards children.
  • A team player who can communicate well with adults and children
  • Reliability, punctuality and a commitment to supporting the school community.
  • Experience of working with children (desirable but not essential).
  • Experience working with children with Special Educational Needs in a mainstream or specialist setting (desirable but not essential).
  • Experience working with children with English as an Additional Language (desirable but not essential).
