Job summary

The Oaks Secondary School in Durham is seeking two Health Care & Education Assistants to join the lunchtime team on a part-time basis. The roles are term-time only with a temporary contract until August 2027, 10 hours per week, 11:30am–1:30pm, starting asap.

Applicants must have NVQ Level 2 in Childcare or equivalent. You will support pupils with special educational needs, assist with hygiene, and help with movement and learning activities under supervision.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Childcare or equivalent qualification.
• Support pupils with special educational needs and assist with hygiene and personal care.
• Support safe positioning and movement of pupils with physical disabilities.

Responsibilities

• Assist during the lunchtime period.
• Assist with general hygiene and personal care routines including toileting, feeding and dressing.
• Support classroom activities under teaching staff guidance.
