Job summary

The Mercian Trust is seeking a positive Lunchtime Engagement Leader to join our academy team, supporting pupils during lunch and guiding engaging activities in a safe environment.

You will supervise outdoor and indoor spaces, promote positive behaviour, encourage participation in games and clubs, and help staff maintain calm, friendly routines between lunch and lessons. We value safeguarding and teamwork, welcoming energetic applicants who enjoy working with young people.

Qualifications

• Strong interpersonal and communication abilities essential.
• Experience supporting or supervising young people preferred, not required.
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting welfare of children.
• Ability to remain calm and professional in busy environments.
• Willingness to work as part of a team to support lunchtime activities.

Responsibilities

• Supervise students during lunchtime in outdoor spaces and activity zones.
• Promote positive behaviour and high expectations per academy policies.

We are seeking a positive, energetic and reliable Lunchtime Engagement Leader to join our academy team. This is an incredible opportunity for someone who enjoys working with young people and wants to play an important role in creating a safe, enjoyable and engaging lunchtime experience for our students. The successful candidate will help supervise students during lunch periods while encouraging participation in activities, promoting positive behaviour and supporting the academy's values.,

• Supervise students during lunchtime in outdoor spaces and designated activity zones.
• Promote positive behaviour and high expectations in line with academy policies.
• Encourage students to participate in organised games, clubs and enrichment activities.
• Build positive relationships with students and support their wellbeing.
• Assist in maintaining a safe and orderly environment.
• Support the smooth movement of students between lunch and afternoon lessons.
  Enjoys working with children and young people.
• Has excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Can remain calm, approachable and professional.
• Is confident supervising groups of students.
• Is able to work effectively as part of a team.
• Shares our commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

Previous experience working with young people is desirable but not essential. We welcome applications from individuals who are enthusiastic, dependable and keen to make a positive difference to students' school experience.
