Chailey Heritage Foundation is seeking a Lunchtime Education Assistant to support children and young people with complex physical disabilities during lunchtime. The role is onsite at North Chailey (BN8 4EF), 15 hours per week, term time only, with salary of £13.90 per hour (£9,381 pro rata).
You will assist with personal care, promote independence, and help children participate in activities, while adhering to safeguarding and induction training requirements.

Join our Education team at Chailey Heritage Foundation as a (Lunchtime) Education Assistant, where every day brings an opportunity to make a difference. Your role will have a particular focus on supporting children and young people with complex physical disabilities and health needs over the lunchtime period - including mealtimes, personal care, social activities and supporting pupils to take part in whatever is happening during your working hours.
You'll be part of the wider Education team, encouraging participation and independence and helping to make the middle of each pupil's school day as positive and enriching as possible.
LOCATION: Onsite, North Chailey (BN8 4EF)
SALARY: £13.90 per hour / £9,381 pro rata
HOURS: 15 hours per week (11:30am - 2:30pm), Monday to Friday, term time only.

We need someone who is:
Previous experience in an SEN setting or working with children and young people is an advantage, but not essential.
We want you to feel confident and fully equipped to succeed in this role. All successful candidates complete our initial 5-day induction programme, followed by additional role-specific induction, hands-on training and other specialist training relevant to the pupils you'll be supporting.
Some of this training may extend beyond your contracted hours - particularly when you first join us - but you'll be paid for every required training hour you attend.
