Job summary

Addington School in Woodley, Berkshire, part of the Ascendancy Partnership Trust, is recruiting for a Lunchtime Controller. The role is 7.5 hours per week, term time only, Monday to Friday 11.45 am to 13.15 pm, based at our Woodley site.

The post pays £4,479 per annum plus £269 SEN Allowance per annum. You will help set out and clear lunch areas, assist pupils with meals, supervise activities, and support personal care as needed.

Responsibilities

• Providing support during lunch breaks, the role will involve assisting with setting out tables for lunch, assist the children with eating their lunch and ensuring that the lunch area is clean and tidy for the afternoon session.
• You will also be required to ensure that the children are engaged in suitable activities that may involve supervising the children inside and outside of the building and supporting with personal care.

Job description

Addington school is part of the Ascendancy Partnership Trust, a multi-academy trust with deep community roots across the Berkshire area composed of a family of SEN schools all specialising in learning difficulties. Our main school site is located in Woodley, Reading and we also have a smaller Early Years Centre located in Farley Hill.

We cater for pupils aged 3 - 19 years with special educational needs and disabilities across two sites located in Woodley and Farley Hill.

We currently have vacancies available at our main site in Woodley and are interested in hearing from applicants with previous experience of supporting children and young people with special educational needs.
