Job summary

The Lunchtime Controller role supports pupils aged 3-19 during lunch in Farley Hill, ensuring safety, engagement, and well-being. The post runs 7.5 hours per week, term-time only, at Farley Hill location with DBS checks required.

Salary £4,479 per annum plus £269 SEN Allowance, with opportunities for staff development within a collaborative school community.

Responsibilities

• Provide lunchtime supervision and help set out tables for lunch.
• Assist children with eating and ensure lunch area is clean and tidy for the afternoon session.
• Keep children engaged in suitable activities, supervise indoors and outdoors.
• Support children with personal care as needed.

Addington school is part of the Ascendancy Partnership Trust, a multi-academy trust with deep community roots across the Berkshire area composed of a family of SEN schools all specialising in learning difficulties. Our main school site is located in Woodley, Reading and we also have a smaller Early Years Centre located in Farley Hill.

Lunchtime Controller

7.5 hours per week, term time only

Monday - Friday 11.45 am - 13.15 pm

£4,479 per annum plus £269 SEN Allowance per annum

Addington School offers an environment committed to staff development and a route into teaching for candidates looking for a stepping stone onto the SEND teacher ladder.

Providing support during lunch breaks, the role will involve assisting with setting out tables for lunch, assist the children with eating their lunch and ensuring that the lunch area is clean and tidy for the afternoon session.

You will also be required to ensure that the children are engaged in suitable activities that may involve supervising the children inside and outside of the building and supporting with personal care.

We cater for pupils aged 3 - 19 years with special educational needs and disabilities across two sites located in Woodley and Farley Hill.

We currently have vacancies available at our Early Years Centre in Farley Hill and are interested in hearing from applicants with previous experience of supporting children and young people with special educational needs.
