Job summary

Addington School, part of Ascendancy Partnership Trust, is seeking a Teacher Assistant to join our SEN-focused team at Farley Hill. You will support with high-quality education, work with pupils with special needs, and help adapt lessons for individual learners.

We offer a coaching culture, professional development, and access to Pension Scheme. The role is based at Farley Hill, 32.5 hours per week during term time plus INSET days, with a salary in the range of £22,419–£24,319 plus SEN Allowance.

Qualifications

• A Teacher Assistant who can work alongside teachers to provide high-quality education.
• Experience of working with pupils with special needs and supporting all class activities.
• Able to interpret and adapt lessons to support educational programmes.

Addington school is part of the Ascendancy Partnership Trust, a multi-academy trust with deep community roots across the Berkshire area composed of a family of SEN schools all specialising in learning difficulties. Our main school site is located in Woodley, Reading and we also have a smaller Early Years Centre located in Farley Hill.

Teacher Assistant

32.5 hrs per week, term time only plus 5 INSET days

Mondays 8:45 am to 16:15 pm, Tuesdays 8:45 am to 17:00 pm*, Wednesdays to Fridays 8:45 am to 15:30 pm * 17:00 pm finish alternating between Tuesdays and Thursdays each half term

Salary: £22,419 - £24,319 per annum plus £1,206 SEN Allowance per annum

Location: Farley Hill Only

We are looking for:

• A Teacher Assistant who can work alongside our teachers and support with providing a high quality education for our pupils

• Applicants with previous experience of working with pupils with special needs who can support and be involved with all class activities including working with small groups of children across all key stages

• Skilled communicators who are sensitive to pupils’ needs who can interpret and adapt lessons for pupils to support in the delivery of educational programmes.
