Job summary

Beacon View Primary Academy is seeking a Lunchtime Assistant to join our friendly team in Portsmouth. You will supervise children during lunch, support younger children, and help maintain a calm, welcoming dining environment while encouraging good manners and healthy eating habits.

The role is 7.5 hours per week (1.5 hours per day) during term time, with a January 2027 start date; flexibility to apply for both Lunchtime Assistant and Evening Cleaner positions is offered.

Working hours: 11:40 - 13:10, Monday - Friday

This is a varied and rewarding role, helping to create a safe, positive and enjoyable lunchtime experience for our children. You will support children during lunch times, encouraging positive behaviour, good manners and healthy eating habits, while helping children feel safe, happy and included.

You will help supervise children during lunch, supporting younger children where needed and helping to maintain a calm and welcoming dining environment.
