Job summary

The Chelmsford Learning Partnership is hiring a Midday Assistant to supervise children during lunch and outdoor play, promoting a positive lunchtime environment with family-style dining and good manners.

The role is permanent term-time plus one week (39 weeks) with 11:15am–1:00pm shifts, 8.75 hours per week. Salary ranges £26,016–£26,427 FTE (£5,274.52–£5,366.98 actual). Closing 28 September 2026; interviews 5 October 2026.

Qualifications

• Will be ensure our children feel safe, secure and happy during their lunch break.
• You will also help model our lunchtime ethos of family dining; helping others, good table manners, taking risks when trying new foods.

Responsibilities

• Duties include both supervising children whilst they eat their lunch and during outside play. Full training will be given.
