Job summary

A leading engineering company is seeking a Lubrication Technician to improve reliability and efficiency at Tarmac Tunstead Quarry in Buxton, UK. This role involves monitoring plant conditions, managing maintenance schedules, and applying your technical knowledge of lubrication systems in a dynamic environment. Ideal candidates will have experience in heavy industrial settings and a proactive approach to safety and problem-solving. The position offers full-time hours and various benefits.

Qualifications

• Experience working within a mining, quarrying, or heavy industrial environment.
• Self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision.
• Clear and concise report writing.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and validate plant performance conditions.
• Manage maintenance schedules and task prioritization.
• Develop preventative maintenance schedules.

Skills

Strong technical knowledge of industrial lubrication systems

Ability to fault find and guide/complete repairs

Experience with COSHH controls

Proven fault finding and preventative maintenance skills

Familiarity with CMMS

Strong leadership and mentoring abilities

Excellent problem-solving and diagnostic skills

IT Literate, particularly SAP and Microsoft Office applications

Education

Mechanical apprenticeship

ONC/HNC or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering

NEBOSH and/or IOSH Managing Safely
