Job summary

Tarmac Trading Limited in Buxton, Derbyshire, is seeking an Automation Engineer to join the Tunstead site. You will manage day-to-day maintenance of the cement plant control and software systems to ensure programming integrity.

The role involves safe modification and maintenance of automation systems, development and testing, and commissioning of changes, with emphasis on risk assessments and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Prevent downtime due to control system faults
• Support installation of new plant equipment from conception to operation
• Assure the integration of new systems into plant operations
• Assisting with development, review and implementation of control systems SOPs
• Ensuring robust risk assessment processes for control measures
• Developing server virtualization to test program modifications
• Managing new CAPEX projects during commissioning
• Maintaining continuous improvement of control and software systems
