Job summary

Breedon Group plc operates Hope Cement Works in the Peak District. We are seeking a Maintenance Operator to join the Operations and Maintenance team at Hope Cement Works, Derbyshire.

You will execute plant lubrication activities and perform first-level maintenance to support reliability and safe operations. The role requires experience in heavy industry maintenance, familiarity with lubrication systems, and the ability to work safely within a busy plant environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in heavy industry maintenance and first-level inspection.
• Familiarity with lubrication systems and plant operations.
• Basic IT skills and experience using Maximo or similar CMMS.
• Strong communication skills and safety awareness.

Responsibilities

• Execute the predictive lubrication strategy on plant equipment.
• Record lubrication activities and oil analysis data in Maximo.
• Maintain lubrication systems, grease lines and centralised units.
• Coordinate with reliability team and suppliers for parts and plans.
• Follow COSHH, risk assessments and safety protocols.
