An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 7 Physiotherapist within the acute physiotherapy team at Aberdeen Royal Infirmary. The role involves managing a team, delivering services across the orthopaedic trauma unit, and leading clinical education efforts.
An exciting opportunity has arisen within the acute physiotherapy team for a Band 7 Physiotherapist to be part of the Orthopaedic Trauma unit at Aberdeen Royal Infirmary (ARI), the largest hospital in Grampian. ARI has close links with universities, is a Major Trauma Centre for the North of Scotland, and the ECMO centre for Scotland.
The successful candidate should have significant experience at a Band 6 level or above working in an acute healthcare setting, with sound knowledge of complex orthopaedic trauma.
Responsibilities include delivering physiotherapy services across the trauma orthopaedic unit, managing a team covering two orthopaedic wards and a plastic surgery ward, developing working relationships with staff teams, and collaborating with Elective Orthopaedic B7s to foster a cohesive Physiotherapy Orthopaedic Team.
The role involves clinical education and assessment of physiotherapy students, contributing to service development and redesign, and leading the orthopaedic trauma weekend rota.
This is a permanent 0.4 WTE Band 7 Physiotherapist position.
