Job Overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen within the acute physiotherapy team for a Band 7 Physiotherapist to be part of the Orthopaedic Trauma unit at Aberdeen Royal Infirmary (ARI), the largest hospital in Grampian. ARI is a Major Trauma Centre for the North of Scotland and the ECMO centre for Scotland, with close links to universities.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver physiotherapy services across the trauma orthopaedic unit.
  • Manage a team covering 2 orthopaedic wards and a plastic surgery ward.
  • Develop working relationships with existing teams.
  • Contribute to service development and redesign.
  • Lead and contribute to the orthopaedic trauma weekend rota.
  • Provide clinical education and assessment of physiotherapy students.
Candidate Requirements
  • Significant experience at Band 6 level or above in an acute healthcare setting.
  • Sound knowledge of complex orthopaedic trauma.
