Physiotherapist Band 7

An exciting opportunity has arisen within the acute physiotherapy team for a Band 7 Physiotherapist to join the Orthopaedic Trauma unit at Aberdeen Royal Infirmary (ARI), the largest hospital in Grampian. ARI has close links with universities, is a Major Trauma Centre for Northern Scotland, and the ECMO centre for Scotland.

The successful candidate should have significant experience at Band 6 or above in an acute healthcare setting, with strong knowledge of complex orthopaedic trauma.

Responsibilities include delivering physiotherapy services across the trauma orthopaedic unit, managing a team covering two orthopaedic wards and a plastic surgery ward, developing collaborative relationships with staff teams, and working as part of a job share with an established team member to ensure cohesive physiotherapy services.

The role involves clinical education and assessment of physiotherapy students, contributing to service development and redesign, and leading/participating in the orthopaedic trauma weekend rota.

This is a permanent part-time position (0.4 WTE).
