Sodexo Live! at Cathay Pacific Terminal 3 Heathrow Airport is seeking a Barman to prepare and serve beverages, maintain high hygiene and stock levels, and deliver exceptional guest service.

The role involves flexible shifts including early mornings and late evenings, with emphasis on accuracy and guest satisfaction. The candidate will have beverage knowledge, create cocktails, and work closely with servers to support events and VIP guests.

Qualificações

• Proven experience in bar/ hospitality environment preferred.
• Knowledge of cocktails, wines, spirits, and beverage service.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.

The Barman is responsible for preparing and serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to guests while delivering exceptional customer service. The role ensures the bar is well-stocked, maintained to hygiene and safety standards, and operated efficiently to enhance the overall guest experience.

Main Responsibilities

Beverage Preparation & Service

• Prepare and serve cocktails, mocktails, spirits, wines, beers, coffee, and other beverages according to company standards.
• Maintain consistency in drink presentation and quality.
• Recommend beverages based on guest preferences and menu offerings.
• Verify guest age and comply with responsible alcohol service regulations.

Customer Service

• Greet guests warmly and create a welcoming atmosphere.
• Take beverage orders accurately and efficiently.
• Handle guest inquiries, requests, and complaints professionally.
• Build positive relationships with regular and VIP guests

Bar Operations

• Set up and prepare the bar before service.
• Ensure adequate stock levels of beverages, garnishes, glassware, and supplies.
• Monitor inventory and report shortages or breakages.
• Process transactions accurately through the POS system.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area.
• Follow food safety, health, and hygiene regulations.
• Adhere to workplace health and safety procedures.
• Store beverages and ingredients correctly to maintain quality.

Teamwork

• Work closely with servers, kitchen staff, and supervisors to ensure smooth operations.
• Assist with training new team members when required.
• Support special events, promotions, and functions.

The Ideal Candidate

• Previous experience in a bar, restaurant, hotel, airline lounge, or hospitality environment preferred.
• Knowledge of cocktails, wines, spirits, and beverage service.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Good organizational and multitasking skills.
• Professional appearance and positive attitude.
• Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays.
