Job summary

Randstad Education is partnering with a respected secondary school in the Thornton-Cleveleys area to recruit a dedicated Science Teacher for a full-time, long-term role starting January 2027.

Responsibilities include planning, delivering and assessing Science lessons for Key Stages 3 and 4, with focus on differentiation and strong pupil progress. QTS or QTLS and enhanced DBS are required, with a supportive leadership team and CPD opportunities.

Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or Qualified Teacher Learning and Skills (QTLS) status.
• Proven experience teaching Science up to GCSE level in a UK secondary school.

Responsibilities

• Plan, deliver, and evaluate high-quality Science lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4.
• Assess, monitor and record pupil progress with constructive feedback.
• Create a positive classroom climate using the school's behaviour framework.
• Differentiate teaching to meet diverse learning needs and support extra needs.
• Participate in departmental meetings, parents evenings and school initiatives.
